Platform Overview:

● OSMOSIS is a collaborative learning platform designed for both faculty and students. It provides rich animated teaching videos and a comprehensive question bank to support teaching and learning.

The database includes over 1,800 learning and teaching videos, 8,000 clinical scenario-based practice questions, and 16,000 flashcards.

Key concepts from instructional videos are summarized into well-organized, illustrated high-yield notes for preview and review.

Suggested Applications:

● For faculty: Use video clips for lecture preparation, utilize the question bank for assessments, and manage student progress through built-in analytics reports.

● For students: Preview or review course content using videos before or after class, reinforce knowledge with practice questions, and explore Clinical Rotation–related topics to strengthen concepts needed for clinical training.

Probably you are about to conduct a structured literature search for systematic review, meta-analysis, or scoping review, this course is also for you.

This course is from a health and life science research perspective but may contain helpful information for researchers in other disciplines.

Join us for the Kun-Yen Medical Library Orientation, a two-session program designed to help you feel confident using library resources and explore newly available AI-powered research tools for academic study.

Whether you are new to the library or curious about smarter research workflows, these sessions will provide practical skills you can use right away.


Course 1: Getting Started at the Library: Orientation & Basic Database Searching

This session introduces the medical library’s key services and resources, with a focus on basic database searching techniques. Participants will also learn how to access and search two major databases (Embase, PubMed) efficiently for research.
