History
Established in 1984, the NCKU Kun Yen Medical Library collects books and periodicals resources on topics related to medicine and healthcare, providing NCKU and its medical center with information required for teaching, research and medical services. The library abides by the missions of regional medical libraries. The medical library draws on the expectations of Professor Kun Yen Huang— founder of the College of Medicine at NCKU, who hoped that the library can act as an emergency room filled with doctors' knowledge, where information is instantly accessible at any time for faculty members, staff and students of the College of Medicine and hospital healthcare professionals. In February 2009, the medical library was renamed Kun Yen Medical Library to commemorate Professor Huang's commitment and dedication to the library.
